Decorative Plasterwork, Surveys & Restoration for Schools, Colleges and Universities
Over the last 35 years Stevensons of Norwich has developed a good working relationship with schools, colleges and educational establishments throughout the UK.
Many of these Clients operate from old and period buildings where repairs and renewals of decorative and lime plasterwork are part and parcel of routine maintenance.
Some of these period buildings have lime or decorative ceilings which require surveys, reports, recommendations and possibly remedial action under the ABTT regime following the recent Theatre ceiling collapse.
Other educational establishments function within new or modern buildings – the Said Business School in Oxford is an example – where Stevensons’ plasterwork in contemporary idiom is regularly specified.
Every school has its coat of arms and our Stevensons-Stone® crest for Drayton Manor School is a good example, shown in the gallery to the right.
Our case studies illustrate the Stevensons survey, reporting, repair, design, manufacturing and installation services in the context of educational establishments.
Our work in the educational sector is conducted both with Governors and Trustees or through their Architects and Contractors and is undertaken throughout the UK. Stevensons are regularly specified for work in this sector because of the quality of our craftsmanship and ability to complete projects outside the academic working calendar.
