About This Project
The Town Hall in Birmingham, a majestic 19th century building, was the subject of a major restoration to facilitate a change of use for cultural purposes.
Stevensons were selected to undertake extensive repairs and renewals to lime plaster walls and ceilings.
The Stevensons scope of work included the securing of plasterwork to walls and ceilings, the making good of surface holes, cracks and blemishes and, where original lime work was missing, to introduce new lime using traditional methods.
Stevensons were selected because of our reputation for quality and reliability and for having resources sufficient to meet the programme requirements of a large project.
Stevensons regularly undertake lime restoration projects on both a large and a small scale.
