About This Project
During the course of a major refurbishment of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral it became apparent to the Management Contractor that the traditional lime plasterwork to the ceilings and some of the walls needed examination and possible repairs.
Stevensons were invited to undertake a thorough survey and produce a report which confirmed that significant repairs were needed. Based on the report a budget was prepared by Stevensons which was accepted by the Client following which Stevensons undertook the necessary in situ repairs involving stainless steel fixings and the making good of surface defects.
The works were undertaken to suit the Management Contractor’s programme over a period of nine months at the end of which the traditional lime work’s integrity had been restored and left in good order.
Stevensons were selected to undertake this project on this basis of their track record generally with surveying, reporting and specialist repair work to traditional plasterwork as well as having previously undertaken similar large scale works for the Management Contractor as part of the Coliseum Theatre refit.
Stevensons regularly undertake reporting, surveying and repair works to traditional plasterwork in properties small and large.
