About This Project
- Stevensons of Norwich were appointed to undertaken the specialist decorative plasterwork throughout a magnificent new Country House.
- For a vaulted corridor the Client specified a traditional lime plaster on lath construction.
- The photographs below show the line of the vaults established in with the setting out of the laths, a scratch coat applied to the laths and a view of the corridor with lime plaster finish coat applied.
- The use of lime in the corridor gives a natural appearance and soft texture to the walls and vaults thus meeting the expectations of the Client.
Stevensons were awarded the contract as a whole because of their ability to contribute to design development with their drawing office, manage the coordination and logistics required for a project of this size and deliver the expected result generally and with the lime-work in particular.
