Listed Cinema : Hoe Street : Walthamstow

Major restoration / replacement of fibrous plaster work in the Auditorium following years of neglect and a disastrous fire.

The cinema in Hoe Street Walthamstow was built before the war, is a local landmark and a listed building.

The cinema fell into decay and then suffered a disastrous fire.  Stevensons of Norwich were employed to put back the auditorium ceiling with enrichments as well as to repair or replace the damaged and missing plaster features around the walls.

This was all achieved under the eye of the local Conservation Officer.

The building  now has a new use and the clients are delighted with their new and repaired decorative plasterwork.
